How we work
A working board
Maangaar Voices operates as a working board, meaning our board members are actively involved in the daily operations of the organization. Instead of a traditional hierarchy, we collaborate to drive our mission forward: facilitating programs, engaging the community, and ensuring impactful advocacy. This hands-on approach keeps us closely connected to the needs of the immigrant autism community while laying the foundation for future growth.
Facilitating programs
Board members run our programs hands-on, from support groups and swim lessons to faith spaces and the Maangaar Summit.
Engaging the community
We stay close to families, self-advocates and partners, and bring their voices into every decision.

We help families navigate schools and systems, and advocate for policy and systems change.
